Rosaleen is COMPAS Communications and Media Manager responsible for publicising the aims, activities and achievements of the centre. She manages the various COMPAS websites and social media channels and is responsible for media relations and research communications and uptake.
Before joining COMPAS she held communications manager posts at the Oxford Martin School and the Young Lives international study at the Oxford Department of International Development. Previously she spent two decades working in humanitarian communications for agencies such as the World Bank, Save the Children, HelpAge International, Oxfam Ireland and UNICEF. She has worked in emergency teams in Pakistan, Haiti, the Philippines, and Indonesia and has developed training for communicating in emergencies.
Rosaleen has also worked in public engagement with the BBC and in media relations and training with several UK charities. She has also spent time as a freelance writer, focusing on international development and human rights stories. She started her working life in local radio.
She has an MA in International Journalism.
